Ragi Vermicelli for a sweet tooth

Despite many health benefits, Ragi remains absent in our diets and we haven't really embraced it. Besides South Indian restaurants, not many are willing to experiment with the grain. This is probably due to its bland taste that many may not appreciate.

This recipe is simple and can be served hot. Healthy breakfast and your children will also like it.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Take a vessel and boil one ltr of water, just when it turns hot, add Ragi Vermicelli. Allow it to boil for 1 minute. Remove from stove

2. Take a container of 1/2 ltr water and place a strainer on it. Remove extra water and empty the vermicelli to the strainer.

3. This allows Ragi Vermicelli to get steamed for easy digestion. After 1 minute, remove from the strainer and take it into a separate bowl

4. Now add, grated coconut, ghee and sugar. I added cardamom powder. If you like seeds, you can add as per your choice.

Mix it gently and serve hot. Quick and healthy breakfast smartly made.
